Trump Says He Discussed Forming Cyber Security Unit With Putin

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Twitter on Sunday that he talked about shaping a digital security unit to make preparations for race hacking with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Tweeting after his initial meeting with Putin on Friday, Trump said now was an ideal opportunity to work usefully with Moscow, indicating a truce bargain in southwest Syria that became effective on Sunday.

“Putin and I examined framing an invulnerable Cyber Security unit with the goal that decision hacking, and numerous other negative things, will be watched and safe,” he said following their discussions at the G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany.

Trump said he had raised claims of Russian impedance in the 2016 U.S. presidential race with Putin.

“I emphatically squeezed President Putin twice about Russian intruding in our decision. He fervently denied it. I’ve effectively given my opinion…..”

He included: “We arranged a truce in parts of Syria which will spare lives. Presently the time has come to push ahead in working usefully with Russia!”

Republican Senator Marco Rubio of Florida instantly reprimanded the proceed onward Twitter, saying Putin was not a put stock in accomplice.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Mr. Trump accepted Mr. Putin’s assertions that the allegations were not true.

Mr. Tillerson, meanwhile, said the two men held a “robust” discussion on the issue, and that Mr. Trump had pressed the Russian leader on several occasions – but that an “intractable disagreement” might remain.
